For projects to be made, a pipeline is needed. A pipeline shows whose work goes where for further work. Pipelines vary depending on the industry of application and the job that is undertaken.

A pipeline I have designed based on notes I have taken.

Shown is a pipeline of my design, adapted from notes regarding the topic. The general premise is that the idea is generated and pre-production begins - designing and mock-ups. Then the production comes around and everything gets done - art is drawn, music is composed, models get animated and painted. That all gets compiled together through various programming processes before the product has been completed. After that comes the quality assurance, testing, marketing, and eventual release.

Pipelines will be a useful topic to remember when I get to working on the synoptic project later this year.
